Wakata and Mann finished most of the work to install the modification kit on channel 1B, but due to time constraints, ground teams instructed the astronauts to head back to the airlock before they could finish tightening a bolt on the final strut for the second mounting bracket. That task will be completed on a future spacewalk.

Station crew members will perform similar work later this year when SpaceX delivers the final two roll-out solar arrays on a cargo mission tentatively set for launch in June.

There are probably an infinite number of food combinations which could deliver the necessary nutrients and calories to traveling astronauts, but this combination manages to do it with the smallest serving size and the fewest number of ingredients. In orbit, the shuttle has moved into direct sunlight and mission control are unable to rotate it into a safe position, a situation which will cause the astronauts to burn up in short order if it cannot be rectified. Generoo believes the uplink is being sabotaged by someone within mission control. Belt orders the uplink to be cut, allowing the astronauts to rotate the craft manually, a bold move which pays off. Although the mission is now very risky for the astronauts, Belt orders them to proceed, angering Generoo and the FBI agents. Belt then goes on to lie to the press about the status of the mission, saying that there were no problems. Mulder confronts him about this, and Belt states the shuttle program will likely be cancelled if the mission is not completed successfully.

The Crown season 3 begins with Harold Wilson (Jason Watkins) becoming Prime Minister and the death of Winston Churchill on January 24, 1965. Major historical events depicted in The Crown season 3 include the Aberfan, Wales mining disaster on October 21, 1966, Lord Mountbatten's (Charles Dance) dalliance with a coup of the British government, the moon landing and the Apollo 11 astronauts' visit to Buckingham Palace, Prince Philip's (Tobias Menzies) role in the founding of St. George's House, and the death of Edward VIII on May 28, 1972.

Mark volunteers, saying that the same had happened last time, but Nolan tells him that that was the moon, which hardly counts as space. He added that his responsibilities were bigger than four astronauts. Cecil says that if Mark wanted to go, he would be doing a great favor, so Nolan asked Debbie for support. She says that she does not like Mark missing school, but it would be for a good cause. Howard is an aerospace engineer. He has worked in the astronautical engineering lab for three years as of the first season. He began working at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Deep Space Operations Center prior to the series, and he has his own mechanical engineering lab. Howard designed a satellite which orbited Jupiter's largest moon taking high-resolution digital photographs and he remotely repairs satellites on a regular basis. He also troubleshoots space shuttle payloads. Some of the components he built are on the International Space Station, including a small payload support structure for a European science experimental package and the Wolowitz Programmable Hand designed for extravehicular repairs. He even performed a front-end alignment from 62 million miles away when a Mars rover started pulling to the left and managed to get a Mars rover stuck in a ditch, only to have the data which it sent back from the crevice contain the first clear indications that there may have been life on Mars. However, as co-designer of the Pishkin-Wolowitz Liquid Waste Disposal System and designer of the (albeit flawed) Wolowitz Zero-Gravity Waste Disposal System for the International Space Station, he doesn't get much respect.

This subseries contains a small collection of files from the office of Colonel Jacob Reilly, Director of Special Events for the City of Chicago (1955-1977). This subseries contains materials related to the planning of special events such as inauguration ceremonies, presidential visits, parades for visiting astronauts, and the visit of the Beatles to Chicago in 1964.
